Award-winning homebuilder, Barratt Redrow, is preparing a full-planning application for high-quality, energy-efficient homes at Church Lane, Ravenstone. The proposals are informed by the draft allocation of the site for residential development in North West Leicestershire’s emerging new Local Plan.
The proposed development includes:
- 62 beautifully crafted homes from the company’s premium Redrow brand.
- High-quality designs inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement.
- 30% (19) of homes provided as affordable housing including shared ownership homes that would appeal to first time buyers.
- The creation of new areas of public open space, with landscape planting.
- Retention of existing mature trees and the vast majority of hedgerows, bolstered by additional planting.
- Development set back from Church Lane to respect the setting of Ravenstone Conservation Area.
- Existing public right of way through the site retained and enhanced along a realigned route.
- Financial contributions to support local services and community infrastructure.
